Mark Chamberlin is a marketing, advertising and public relations practitioner with 40 years of hands-on experience. Armed with a journalism degree from the University of Oklahoma, Mark joined the news department at KAKE-TV (Channel 10 - ABC) in 1973 and worked 13 years as a reporter, photographer, anchor, assignment editor and managing editor. His reporting won numerous awards and he was one of 100 national semi-finalists for the Journalist in Space project in 1986. He and Larry Hatteberg were the only Kansas journalists selected.
From 1986 to 2000, Chamberlin served as KAKE’s Director of Marketing and Promotion supervising the station’s advertising, public relations and community involvement initiatives. It was during this period he developed his media training sessions designed to help business leaders prepare for and conduct more effective interviews.
From 2000 to 2005, Mark learned the advertising sales side of the business as an account executive for KAKE, working with agencies and direct clients.
He joined Armstrong|Shank Marketing Advertising Public Relations and Interactive in January 2005 as Director of Marketing Services. In June of 2012 the firm was renamed Armstrong Chamberlin as an acknowledgement to his contributions to the growth of the agency. He provides account service to clients and assists all the agency’s key clients with media and public relations.
